If you missed our most popular webinar of the year so far, you can catch the IT Security Policy slides and YouTube recording of Crafting Your Nonprofit IT Security Policy with Matt Eshleman here.
This is an update and complete refresh of our most popular YouTube video – so we know this topic is one a lot of us struggle with, and the struggle is real.
Unfortunately, there is no one-size-fits-all policy – although we are working on a template to help you cover the areas of security that you need to include.
Instead, Matt walks you through a framework and process for creating a security policy that is workable, usable, and updatable.
Security best practices are always changing, and your IT staff are the front line of defense. But even if your IT department is up to date, your security is only as strong as your staff. If your staff don’t know what your policies are, don’t know how to look up the answer to a question, or don’t know why your policies are in place and what they are are in place to prevent – then you can expect a rough security ride ahead.
If you’ve been putting it off because it seems like an enormous job – please take the time to watch our video or slides. You can totally do this!
Next month our colleagues at Build Consulting will be presenting a half hour webinar on fostering a data management mindset in yourself that will make you a more valuable employee to your nonprofit. Join us August 23 from 4-4:30 EDT for We Are All Data Managers. Learn How To Up Your Game.
