We knew that this day was coming. Microsoft has officially ended support for Internet Explorer versions 8, 9 and 10. What does this mean? Microsoft will no longer be providing security patches for these applications or providing technical support. There are still some computers running the older versions of Internet Explorer on the networks we manage for clients.
We will be upgrading all managed clients to Internet Explorer 11 to take advantage of the most modern version of Internet Explorer so that computers will receive critical security updates to help protect against the steady stream of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.
Most web application vendors have upgraded their apps to run on Internet Explorer 11. We don’t anticipate major issues related to this upgrade. If you have questions, or know of a specific application that only works in an older version of Internet Explorer, please contact your network manager.
