Omar Cisneros is the Advanced Support Engineering Team Manager, with responsibility for a team of Advanced Engineering staff providing escalated support for complex IT issues.
Before joining Community IT, Omar previously worked with Empowerment Thru Technology & Education as the Helpdesk Manager, providing remote and field services to non-profit and for-profit companies. His most recent Microsoft certifications include Microsoft Certified IT Professional and Microsoft Technology Associate. In addition, he is certified as VMware Technical Sales Professional. For a brief moment Omar worked at The Corcoran College school of Arts gaining lots of knowledge on MAC systems, and he also worked at the NIH Library for nearly 15 years as Library Technician supervisor for the contractor team. He is now On-Site Support Team Supervisor at Community IT.
Omar has lived in DC for over 32 years and enjoys vacationing at the beach with his family and friends. One of his hobbies is to co-manage an adult local soccer team name Rapido Oriental. Under his coaching they’ve earned 1 Championship Game in a single day tournament and 3 fourth place trophies in their seasonal league. Currently, they hold the number one seed in the league. He also learned to cook delicious Italian food as a restaurant manager and bar tender for 9 years.
He loves taking his son swimming at local pools and doing some football catching at the park on any given day.
