panel with Steve Longenecker, Nuradeen Aboki, and Carolyn Woodard
Wednesday, November 18th, 2026, from 3-4pm Eastern, Noon Pacific
Does using AI at work feel like a values question for you, not just a technology question?
Are you excited about what AI could do for your nonprofit, already using it, or still making up your mind?
Are you wondering whether your AI use is secure, or what AI will mean for your job?
Webinar: Should Your Nonprofit Use AI?
Join three Community IT staff for an honest conversation about the questions nonprofit staff and leaders ask us most often about AI. Should your nonprofit use AI at all? Is it ethical? Are you falling behind if you don’t use it? What does it mean for your job? And if you do use it, how do you use it securely and responsibly?
This isn’t a webinar that will tell you to adopt AI. Nonprofits are making real choices about AI right now, and “not yet” or “not for us” is a valid answer. Our panelists bring different experiences to these questions and don’t always agree. You’ll hear how a Director of IT Consulting, a Senior Consultant who conducts AI assessments for nonprofits, and the host of our Nonprofit AI podcast think through the same concerns. Then you can weigh them for your own organization and your own role.
In this webinar session, Steve, Nura, and Carolyn will take on common questions about AI at nonprofits, including ethics and values, workforce impact, data security, who gets to decide how AI is used, and questions fro registration. You’ll receive a takeaway summary of these common issues and positions you can share with your staff, IT team, and decision makers.
The session will include time for your questions. You are invited to submit your specific questions about AI at your organization when you register.
As with all our webinars, this presentation is appropriate for an audience of varied IT experience. Community IT is proudly vendor-agnostic, and our webinars cover a range of topics and discussions. Webinars are never a sales pitch, always a way to share our knowledge with our community.
